Spain will be a tough nut to crack for the Italians but the European champions will want to continue their best form.
Roberto Mancini’s men had the better of Spain when they met in the Euro 2020 semi-final three months ago.
The Italians made it to the final after beating Spain on penalties and proceeded to beat England in the showpiece through similar outcome.
Bernardeschi, who was speaking to the media ahead of the game, lauded Spain as a strong side but insists his team-mates will be ready for their rivals.
“Spain are strong, they are the team that put us in most difficulty, in terms of the game,” Bernardeschi told the FIGC’s official channel. “But we have shown how much we have grown over these three years, not only since EURO 2020 started. We will be ready.”
“Giving continuity to the European Championship is fundamental,” Bernardeschi added. “Playing this semi-final is a great feeling but being able to lift the trophy would be even more exciting.
“The fans will give us an extra boost, everything is more beautiful.”
