Camavinga says he has fulfilled a childhood dream by moving to Spanish La Liga to play for the Los Blancos. The 18-year-old is one of the most exciting talents in Europe, having emerged through the ranks at the Roazhon Park.
Many big European clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich were all said to be monitoring the situation of the Frenchman in Rennes but the La Liga giants ended up winning the battle to secure his services.
Camavinga is currently on international duty with the France U21s, and he could not hide his elation regarding to his move to the Spanish capital when he asked by the media.
“My signing for Real Madrid happened so fast,” Camavinga told the press after scoring for France U21s in their 3-0 win over North Macedonia, per Managing Madrid.
“I’m very happy and proud but I don’t want this announcement to change my work for the Under 21 team.
“I will keep giving my very best and of course I dream of playing for the French national team, but I want to go step by step. Now I will go to Rennes to prepare for the move to Madrid.
“I dreamed of it since I was a little kid. I want to discover the stadium, it must be impressive. I hope to take my first steps there as soon as the works and construction end.”
