Maguire believes Ronaldo is the best player of all-time and insists the Portugal superstar is going to have a big impact in Manchester.
Ronaldo was introduced to English football in the summer of 2003 when he joined the Red Devils from his boyhood club Sporting CP.
He went on to establish himself as one of the best footballers in the world which made Real Madrid pay the-then record fee of £80 million to secure his services.
Ronaldo went on to become a Real Madrid legend in nine years breaking every necessary individual record and winning a lot of laurels for Los Blancos.
He joined Juventus in the summer of 2018 and helped the Bianconeri further enhanced their reputation as the best team in Italy.
The 36-year-old’s future in Turin came to an end last week when the Italian club reached an agreement with United for his transfer.
“It's amazing,” Maguire told talkSPORT when asked about Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford.
“Obviously I'm away with England at the moment so my focus is on the game tomorrow but for him to sign back for the club (is amazing). “For me, the greatest player to play the game.
“It's amazing to have him at the club. I'm sure he's going to have a big impact on and off the field and many players can look and learn and improve.
“Obviously he's going to improve our team as well with his goalscoring record. It's amazing to have him at the club. I'm looking forward to meeting him in a few days.”
