Guardiola guided Manchester City to their third league title in four seasons and helped them to a maiden Champions League final where they unfortunately lost to Premier League rivals Chelsea.
After a slow start to the campaign, the Citizens gradually came out of their shells to dominate their opponents.
Guardiola’s men won the domestic double, with the team that went on a 15-match winning streak in the league and a breathtaking 28-game unbeaten run across all competitions also winning the Carabao Cup.
City comfortably swooped the Premier League with a 12-point margin but failed to win the treble when they faltered at Porto against Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Ahead of Manchester City’s visit to face Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener on Sunday, Guardiola reflected on last season’s achievement.
“It was unbelievable. It was great,” said Guardiola. “It was an exceptional season, disappointed of course for losing the (Champions League) final but after one or few days when you are with your family you think how good it was.
“Among many things, how few injuries we have, always I believe when you have few injuries it’s because the medical department and physios as well as players want to be a part of it.
“It was an exceptional season, one of the best I have experienced in my life by far.
“We won two titles, arrived in the Champions League final and got to semi of the FA Cup. It was very good. I congratulate the team on what we did last season. It will be in our memories forever.”
