Liverpool duo Alisson Becker and Sadio Mane as well as Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe, Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsdale, Joe Willock, Rodrigo Moreno and Christian Benteke will contest for the award for the final month of the season.
Bale scored five goals for Tottenham in May, including a hattrick against Sheffield United and a brace against Leicester City on the final day.
Goalkeeper Alisson scored arguably Liverpool’s most important goal of the season with a last-minute header against West Bromwich Albion and kept three clean sheets while teammate Mane found some much needed form with three goals and two assists to help the Reds book a Champions League spot.
Pepe notched five goals in May, including braces against Crystal Palace and West Brom for Arsenal while Willock scored in each of Newcastle United’s final four games of the season.
Spaniard Moreno saved his best form for Leeds in the final month of the season, scoring four goals and providing one assist for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Benteke finished the season strongly for Crystal Palace as he scored four goals to take his tally to 10 for the campaign while Ramsdale made the second most saves in May with 25 and kept two clean sheets for relegated Sheffield United.
