Multiple publications within the Spanish media landscape reported last week that the French tactician will step down as manager of Los Blancos at the end of the season.
But following Real Madrid’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday that took the La Liga title race to the final day of the season, Zidane refuted rumors that he will be leaving the Spanish capital for the second time very soon.
"How am I going to tell my players that I am leaving now, when we are putting everything on the line?", Zidane told reporters.
"When you say things from the outside, you can say whatever you want. I am not ever going to say that to my players.
"At the end of the season we will see, but now I am in this and am focused on the last match.
"We cannot talk constantly about my future, the most important thing is the last match that we have to play."
Heading into the final game of the season, Real Madrid are two points behind city rivals Atletico Madrid, who beat Osasuna 2-1 on Sunday.
Real Madrid will host Villarreal next Saturday while Atletico Madrid are away at Real Valladolid.
