Ferdinand has labeled Marquinhos as a big game player and insists he would be a good fit at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are enjoying a good second half of the season under Thomas Tuchel and will be looking to rival Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.
The Blues are said to be eager to boost their squad in their quest to win the Premier League title next season and have been linked with the likes of Jules Kounde and Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule, but Ferdinand has urged Tuchel to reunite with the former AS Roma man by bringing him to England.
“If any team is in the market for a center-back, right now, out of the top teams, with the finances, Marquinhos is the only place I’m going,” the Manchester United legend said on his Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE YouTube channel.
“Big-game player. Every big game you see that guy play, he turns up.
“Fit as you like, quick, robust, hardened, battle-hardened, understands the big-game environments.
“Top, top player, great attitude, leader, got it all.
“If I’m looking for a center-back of experience who can take me to the next level, he’s the one I’m going for.”
Marquinhos is having a good season with PSG, having scored five goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Parisians.
