Flick says he is absolutely convinced that the France international has the requisite quality to win the most coveted individual trophy.
Mbappe is considered as one of the best players in the world, having announced himself to the watching world during the second part of the 2016/2017 season with his exploits in the Champions League knockout phase.
He joined PSG ahead of the 2017/2018 season and has taken his game to another level since. The Frenchman has become the Parisians main man along with his team-mate Neymar.
The 22-year-old put up a dazzling performance in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich last week, and will be looking forward to get the business done when they meet the Bavarians again on Tuesday.
Ahead of the second leg of the Champions League in Paris, Flick talked up the qualities of Mbappe, and insists the Frenchman has what it takes to win the Ballon d’Or.
“He will win the Ballon d’Or one day, I am absolutely convinced of that,” Flick said at a pre-match press conference.
“He has everything. He is fast, he has a good technique and – what is most important – he scores a lot of goals.”
Mbappe has scored 33 goals and provided ten assists in all competitions for the Parisians so far this season.
