Lopez has insisted that ‘it is a fact’ that the France international will make a switch to play in La Liga with Los Blancos.
Mbappe has been linked with Real Madrid for quite some time now and the Spaniard says a summer move to Madrid is now imminent for the Frenchman.
The 22-year-old joined PSG from Monaco in the summer of 2017 and his contract at the Parc des Princes will come to an end in June 2022.
Mbappe is yet to accept a new deal with the Parisians which has cast doubt over his long-term future in the French capital.
The 2018 World Cup winner is also linked with a lot of top clubs in Europe but Lopez believes Mbappe will only move to Real Madrid and the deal will be done this summer.
“Real Madrid will sign Mbappe this summer. This is not an opinion, it is a fact,” claimed Spanish journalist Lopez on his Twitch channel, as per Defense Central.
“It will be some time before it becomes official, maybe until August,” he added. “Real Madrid know that it has to reach a friendly agreement with PSG.”
Mbappe had another wonderful season in the just ended campaign and despite failing to win the league with PSG, he achieved enormous success on a personal level.
He scored 42 goals and provided eleven assists in 47 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side. Mbappe is currently with the France national team preparing for the upcoming Euros.
