At the age of 20, Haaland is already considered as one of the best players in Europe due to his ruthless nature in front of goal.
Haaland has 34 goals in just 37 Bundesliga games since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in the 2020 January transfer window, which has forced many to compare him to Lewandowski.
Despite the growing competition between the two, Lewandowski has hailed the former Molde FK man, insisting he will be a great striker in future.
“He’s a great player. He has huge potential and he’s still very young,” Robert told CBS Sports on Paramount +. “If I see his face and how hungry he is to score goals. In the future, he has a chance to be the best striker in the world, for sure.
“But sometimes when everything is going well, it’s really not easy. But if you see him, he has scored so many goals and he’s so young. It’s great to play in the Bundesliga and it’s great to see a young player in this league and compare. He is the player who can be the best, but I want to play at the highest for many more years, so I am happy to be there where I am.”
The exploits of the Norwegian in both the Champions League and Bundesliga has forced big clubs in Europe to add him to their wish list ahead of the summer transfer window.
