O’Hara believes it would be hard for West Ham to keep the Czech Republic international if he continues to put on good performances.
Soucek has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season, having formed a formidable partnership with Declan Rice in the middle of West Ham’s midfield.
West Ham currently sit fifth on the Premier League table and Soucek happens to be one of the key reasons why the Hammers are flying.
Despite being a defensive midfielder, the 26-year-old has scored nine goals in 29 appearances in the Premier League this season.
O’Hara has waxed lyrical about the former Slavia Prague man and insists he would be a good fit at Old Trafford.
“He has been awesome. He has transformed West Ham, he really has. What a player he’s been for them,” O’Hara told talkSPORT Breakfast.
“A great signing that went under the radar, but his performances have been absolutely exceptional.”
“He’s turned into a proper top player in the Premier League and they are lucky to have him West Ham. They might struggle to keep hold of him.”
“If you’re Soucek and you’re having the season you are and say Man United come along, because Man United need a player like him, he’d walk into their team with his energy, his runs and scores goals.”
“It’s hard to keep hold of someone when you’ve got big teams coming in for you.”
