After a poor run of form where they failed to win five Premier League games in a row, the Reds seemed to have steadied the ship with two comfortable victories against London sides Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United with a similar scoreline of 3-1.
Wijnaldum himself was on target at the London Stadium on Sunday against the Hammers and has insisted the Merseyside-based club must keep improving on the pitch instead of thinking they have recovered their lost form.
“I don’t want to say we are back because I think you have to show it every game again,” the Netherland international told Liverpool’s official website.
“Of course, every game is difficult but when the chance is there to create a chance like this we should do it.”
Liverpool will be seeking to make it three wins out of three games when they entertain Graham Potters’ Brighton at Anfield on Wednesday and the 30-year-old has insisted his team-mates should not underestimate the Seagulls.
Wijnaldum added: “I think it’s a really bad thing to think that we are back because every game is another situation, another game, and another opponent.
“We have to do it again. I think we look at it that way and just try to play the games with confidence.”
