Messi eventually stayed in Catalonia as no team was willing to defray his €700 million release clause and is currently involved in the ongoing season.

“I spoke to Leo when everything was resolved and I saw him calm,” he said, as relayed by the Daily Mail.
“Since his arrival, we’ve been able to have a long chat. He is happy to be here. He’s now well in his club.”
