James completed a move to join the Premier League side from Real Madrid on a two-year deal for a fee around €22million earlier this week.
The former Monaco man has revealed he remains ambitious as ever after his reunion with Carlo Ancelotti, a man he worked with in Real Madrid and during his loan spell in Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti got the best out of James during the 2014/15 season at Real Madrid, when the Colombian midfielder was named La Liga’s best midfielder after scoring 13 goals and providing 13 assists in 29 games.
Despite his recent decline in his last days in Madrid, James is still considered as one of the biggest signings at Goodison Park this summer.
The 29-year-old still believes in his quality and insists he will give his all to help the Toffess win trophies.
“I am the sort of person who always wants to achieve more and more in my career and life,” he said to the club’s website.
“Every day I have always wanted to achieve more.
“It is a new league I am coming to and a big league on a worldwide scale.
“I learn things every day.
“I am a curious guy and fascinated by things that are new.
“I can continue to learn and improve as a player.
“I know the manager really well and I worked with some of the backroom team in the past.
“Everton is a club with a lot of history… years and years of excellent history.”
“I have come here to this top club to achieve big things."
