Erling became a sensation in European football last year when he scored eight goals for Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League group stage, becoming the first teenager in the history of the competition to score in five consecutive appearances.
His stupendous form in Salzburg attracted a lot of big clubs in Europe and he eventually joined Dortmund in the January transfer window.
Haaland hit the ground running in Germany, scoring a hat-trick on his debut against Augsburg and went onto to net 13 goals in 15 matches.
The former Molde FK hitman ended the 2019/20 season with a tally of 44 goals and 10 assists in just 40 appearances across all competitions, split between Salzburg and the Black and Yellows.
Haaland has all of the necessary tools to become one of the best footballers in the world in the near future and insists he is keen to improve on his game in the upcoming season.
“I’ll take each day and each game as it comes. I want to win every match. I want to improve personally compared to last season and for us to get more points,” the 20-year-old told Dortmund’s official club website.
“Now I’m at BVB for a full season. As a team, we need to put our stamp on our matches to ensure that we win.
“I can improve at everything. I could’ve scored more goals and racked up more assists last season.”
