Solskjaer Confirms Permanent Inter Move For Sanchez

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Alexis Sanchez will join Inter Milan on a permanent deal.

Sanchez has been on a season-long loan in Milan with Manchester United still paying a large portion of his £560k-a-week wage, but it is now certain that the Chilean will permanently remain at San Siro.

The former Barcelona and Udinese man failed to live up to his known standard when he joined Manchester United from Arsenal in January 2018.

Despite becoming the top earner at Old Trafford, Sanchez scored only five goals from 45 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils; an appalling statistic that forced him out of Manchester.

Speaking after United’s 2-1 win against LASK in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Wednesday, Solskjaer was asked about Sanchez’s potential move to the Serie A.

The Norwegian coach admitted the Chile star is on his way out of Manchester and reveals the deal will be confirmed on Thursday.

"I can confirm that he's agreed and we've agreed," Solskjaer said. "Alexis enjoyed his time there.”

"They've liked him, so of course that's a good move for him. Wish him all the best. He's a top player, that we want to see play his best football.

Solskjaer was gutted Sanchez could not show his capabilities in Manchester but insists he wishes him well in his next adventure.

"For whatever reason we didn't see the best of Alexis, but he's a top professional and we just wish him all the best,” the former Cardiff City and Molde FK manager added.
