Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner were injured in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Swedish side Malmo in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Havertz replaced Lukaku and eventually got his name on the scoresheet to help the Blues to a comfortable win on the night.
The German international has previously excelled as Chelsea’s target man whenever he is given the chance and Tuchel says he will be expecting similar outcome when Chelsea come up against the Canaries.
"Without Romelu [Lukaku], we can play with Kai as a number nine," the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss said in his press conference on Friday.
"For me, it’s not so much of a false nine. Kai is also very strong in the last line and behind the last line, arriving in the box. When he plays as a number nine we want this from him, and he did that against Malmo.
"The game will be a bit different without Romelu, but we want the same power, the same amount of people in the same spaces when we finish our attacks."
Havertz has scored two goals and provided one assist in seven games in all competitions for the West Londoners this season.
