Abraham was the only one to miss from the spot as Chelsea lost their third straight UEFA Super Cup game after previous defeats to Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
The 21-year-old was a second half substitute for Olivier Giroud as Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian foiled his attempt in a 5-4 penalty shootout loss following a 2-2 draw after extra-time.
But Abraham who looks set to play a big part in Frank Lampard’s plans this season following loan spells at Swansea City and Aston Villa, says he is undeterred by the setback after receiving encouragement from his colleagues and will continue taking penalties for Chelsea when the need arises.
"I've scored a few. Unfortunately I missed one of the most important ones for Chelsea," he told UK newspapers.
"They say the top players always miss penalties and it's about how you react. I've just got to keep pushing myself.
"I'm always someone who believes in myself in penalties. I had a few last season and a few important ones. Unfortunately this was probably one of my most important ones I missed.
"It's about how I react and just get my head up. The boys have made it feel like nothing has even happened. It's a great bunch of boys now we've just got to focus on the game against Leicester [City]."
Abraham scored 26 goals to help Aston Villa clinch promotion to the Premier League last season, and he also scored the winning penalty in the Championship play-off semi-final against West Bromwich Albion.
