Jorginho signed for Chelsea on a five-year deal from Napoli during the summer of 2018, teaming up with old boss Maurizio Sarri, who was drafted in to replace his compatriot Antonio Conte.
The Brazilian-born Italian failed to live up to the hype of being the chief conductor of Sarri’s philosophy on the field, and was often booed together with the Italian coach in his first season in England.
Jorginho has redeemed himself as one of the best players in the league since the arrival of Frank Lampard at the beginning of the 2019-2020 season.
Despite being a joy to watch under Lampard, Jorginho has been flirting with a move away from Stamford Bridge following the departure of Sarri.
Santos recently claimed the 28-year-old is close to renewing his contract which is due to expire in 2023, but in an interview with Radio Musica Television, the agent has admitted Jorginho will not hesitate to leave West London after this season should an attractive offer from elsewhere come his way.
“If you ask me if Sarri likes Jorginho, I’d say ‘yes’ due to their history,” the Chelsea star’s agent said.
“I can’t say anything about the transfer market as I’m not in touch with anyone right now.”
“Jorginho still has three years left on his contract and is doing well at Chelsea, but if a big enough offer comes in then a deal could go through.”
“In this sense, two top European clubs, not Italian ones, contacted me.”
