Liverpool are seeking for their first league title in 30 years as they sit 25 points clear at the top of the league table.
The rapid spread of the virus across the world has forced top European leagues to suspend their current seasons.
The Premier League have decided to postpone all fixtures indefinitely, insisting that the league will resume only if it is safe to play.
Many have opined that the Premier League season should be truncated, others too believe the season should be completed when the plague is over.
Ceferin has added his voice to the ongoing debate saying he does not see why Jurgen Klopp’s men should not be crowned champions.
“I can’t see a way Liverpool could be left without a title,” the 52-year-old told Slovenian daily sports paper EkipaSN.
“If the Premier League resumes play, Liverpool will almost certainly win the title. Theoretically it’s not all over, but practically Liverpool are on the verge of it.
“If by any chance the play will not resume, we still have to find a way to declare final results, to declare champions.
“And again I cannot see, I cannot imagine a scenario, in which the champions would not be Liverpool.
“I understand the fans will be disappointed if it happens in an empty stadium or even in the league offices, but I believe, they will get the title one way or another.”
