As at Saturday, over 400 cases of the Coronavirus disease have been reported in Italy, making it the hardest hit country in Europe. Twelve deaths have been recorded in the country so far.
In addition to the Derby d’Italia, Saturday’s game between Udinese and Fiorentina, AC Milan vs Genoa, Parma vs Spal and Brescia’s trip to Sassuolo have all been called off.
Just like Inter Milan’s Europa League game against Ludogorets on Thursday, the five matches had been scheduled to be played behind closed doors.
The league’s governing body released a statement on Saturday morning which read: "Having considered the succession of numerous urgent regulatory interventions by the government in response to this extraordinary emergency, to protect public health and safety the president of Serie A announces that the following matches of the championship have been postponed after initially being scheduled to play behind closed doors: Juventus - Inter, Milan - Genoa, Parma - SPAL, Sassuolo - Brescia, Udinese - Fiorentina.
"The rescheduled date of the affected matches is set for Wednesday, May 13.
"The Coppa Italia final will consequently be scheduled for Wednesday, May 20."
Last week, four Serie A fixtures were postponed because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
It is yet to be decided whether Monday’s game between Sampdoria and Hellas Verona will go ahead as planned but Lazio vs Bologna, Napoli vs Torino, Lecce vs Atalanta and Cagliari vs Roma will take place with fans allowed to attend.
