Hargreaves Encourages Big Clubs To Sign ‘Special’ Sancho

Former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has urged top clubs in Europe to go for the services of Jadon Sancho following his stellar performance in Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the first-leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday night.

New signing Erling Haaland stole the headlines once again by scoring twice to render Neymar’s 75th minute effort a mere consolation.

Sancho was a thorn in PSG’s flesh throughout the game before he was replaced by Marcel Schmelzer in the 90th minute.

Speaking on BT Sports, pundit Hargreaves compared his compatriot to Neymar and insists teams should go in for the 19-year-old.

“That performance from Sancho was like Neymar in his prime. Off the cuff. He was unplayable," the 39-year-old said.

“Get your cheque books out. Somebody go and sign that kid because he is special.”

Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas, who was also a pundit on BT Sports somehow echoed the words of Hargreaves.

“He showed maturity beyond his years," he said.

“He's a spearhead for them with what he brings, his lack of respect for the opposition.”

The Englishman has been in fine form this season, scoring 16 goals and providing 17 assists in 31 games for Dortmund.

Sancho has been widely linked with a return to the Premier League this summer, with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all thought to be yearning for his signature.
