Hakimi ‘Very Happy’ At Inter But Unsure About His Future, Says Agent

Football agent Alejandro Camano has revealed his client Achraf Hakimi is happy in Inter Milan but admitted he is unsure about the Morocco international’s future at the San Siro.

The 22-year-old joined the Nerazzurri last summer from Real Madrid after a two-year loan spell in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

Hakimi is currently having a wonderful season in the Serie A as he is one of Antonio Conte’s charges who are bidding to bring the Scudetto back to the black and blue part of Milan for the first time since the 2009/2010 season.

The Moroccan has featured in 26 league games, scoring six goals and providing five assists for Inter.

Despite having four years left on his current deal, his agent, Camano, has revealed that Hakimi’s future in Italy remains uncertain.

“The player himself made the decision to go to Inter,” agent Alejandro Camano told Calciomercato.it.

“Already two or three years ago, Piero Ausilio had spoken to us about the opportunity of bringing him to Milan.

“After his spell at Borussia Dortmund, that interest was renewed and Hakimi decided to come to Inter.”

There had been some reports that Real Madrid would try to bring Hakimi back, especially if Inter couldn’t keep up the payments amid their liquidity issues.

“As of today, he is very happy to play for such an important club. I don’t know what the future holds, but I say today that Hakimi is happy and his team is Inter.

“The objective is to win the Scudetto. After that, Inter’s situation at the club level is complicated, but I repeat: we are very happy here in football terms.

“He has a five-year contract, we signed because we were so confident of Inter’s project. We’ll see what happens in future, but this is a very important step in his career.

“We certainly don’t intend on leaving the team in such a delicate situation.”
