Cavani joined the English side on deadline-day from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer and is waiting to make his debut after the international break.
Having won a lot of trophies during his time with Napoli and PSG, the 33-year-old is looking to add the Premier League title to his already well stocked honours.
Manchester United have won 20 league titles; the most in the division, but the Red Devils have not hoisted the coveted Premier League trophy since 2013.
Cavani is adamant that United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and he is eager to restore a winning mentality at Old Trafford.
“I think any player who is competitive by nature always wants to be able to win silverware,” he said.
“You always work hard so you can give the best account of yourself, and based on performing at your best, you can get the right results.”
“Then , when you’ve picked up the right results, you can go on to win trophies and achieve big things.”
