Ibrahimovic Admits AC Milan Future In Doubt

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that his future at the club is still in doubt with his contract set to expire in the summer.

The Serie A outfit re-signed Ibrahimovic on a six-month contract with the option to extend it for a further year, following the end of his adventure in the United States’ Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy in December.

The Swede’s return to San Siro has coincided with the Rossoneri’s upturn in form, and he scored four goals in ten matches before the season was stopped due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Ibrahimovic is considering his future in Italy according to media reports following the sack of his friend Zvonimir Boban, who was acting as Chief Football Officer of the club.

The dismissal of Boban has forced the former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Manchester United man to question the club’s long-term plans.

Speaking to Swedish daily publication Svenska Dagbladet, Ibrahimovic discussed his future in Italy and insists life is uncertain, citing an example with Covid-19.

He said: “Let’s see, i don’t even know what I want. Something new happens every day. Who could have predicted this with corona? We just have to try to live and enjoy life.

“Don’t worry too much. I have a family to take care of, they feel good so I feel good. It is tragic that football leagues shut down, but we must respect the system and be patient.”

“They must find a solution that is good for the whole community. Health is above all sport.”
