The Lily Whites currently sit 14th in the league log, having recorded just three points in their last five games.
Pochettion somewhat has been sucessful at the club as he guided the side to a League Cup final and also finishing fith in the league in his first season.
The former Southampton manager was also the egineer when Tottenham reached the Champions League final, losing 2-0 to domestic rivals Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium .
But struggling to enjoy more success at the helm, 47-year-old Pochettino has been relieved of his usual duties for Tottenham including his coaching staff of Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez.
Announcing the termination of his contract with the London-based outfit, a club stament read;
"We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste.
"Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.
"It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the Club’s best interests."
After a glittering moments with Southampton, Pochettion was appointed head coach for Tottenham on a five-year contract on May 2014, becoming their tenth manager over a 12-year span.
