Mourinho Predicts Winner Of The Premier League Title

Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has given his verdict on who he thinks will win the Premier League ahead of the top-of-the-table clash between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the league after 11 matches, having accumulated 31 points out of a possible 33 and are looking to win the league for this first time in 30 years.

According to Mourinho, a man who knows what it takes to win the English Premier League, the Reds will go on to win the league for the first time if they beat the reigning champions on Sunday.

‘For a very good team nine points is a difference that you just have to control,’ the 56-year-old told Sky Sports.

‘So I would say if Liverpool win the game today I think they will win the league, I don’t think so [a point will be enough], no. City is a very good team capable of very strong runs of consecutive victories.’

‘A slip for Liverpool will always happen so I think if today can look a bit of a contradiction. Liverpool is the team with a six-point advantage but for me a draw would be a positive result for City and a bad result for Liverpool.’

‘Liverpool has to get the momentum, has to get a little bit of fragility of City at this time. In my opinion win the game at home at Anfield is the only good result for Liverpool.’
