The Russian billionaire was in attendance at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi when the Blues defeated Brazilian outfit Palmeiras 2-1 after extra time on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku’s opener ten minutes after half time was cancelled out by Raphael Veiga from the penalty spot but Kai Havertz stepped up three minutes before the end of second half extra time to convert a spot kick for Chelsea.
The win means Chelsea have won every available trophy they have competed in in club football since Abramovich bought the club in the summer of 2003.
This was Tuchel’s third trophy as Chelsea manager since taking over from Frank Lampard in January 2021, having also won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
"It is for him, there is no doubt that it is for him," said Tuchel of Abramovich.
"We met quickly on the pitch after the final, he said 'congratulations' and I said 'congratulations, it's for you, it's your club and it's your input and your passion that made this possible' and I'm happy to be part of it.
"So of course the trophy is for him."
Chelsea will have the chance to lift another trophy later this month when they face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
