Eriksen is in search of a new club after his Inter Milan contract was terminated by mutual consent on medical grounds.
The 29-year-old has not played competitive football since suffering a cardiac arrest at last summer’s European Championships while playing for Denmark.
Eriksen previously spent six-and-a-half-years at Tottenham after joining from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2013 before he was signed by Conte for Inter Milan in January 2020.
Eriksen has hopes of featuring at this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar and Conte would be glad to offer him the platform to fulfill that dream.
"I didn't speak recently with Christian and for sure, it was fine to see him on a pitch and to see that he's kicking a ball," Conte said at a news conference on Friday regarding footage of Eriksen training with Swiss club Chiasso.
"We are talking about a really important player, but especially a top man, and what happened [last] summer was not good for the people that work with him and the people that know him. I was scared at that moment and now to see him again ready to play football is a great news, and I think for Christian the door is always open."
Eriksen made 304 appearances and scored 69 goals in his first spell with Tottenham Hotspurs.
