West Ham United defeated Manchester City, who had won the competition for the last four seasons, on penalties on Wednesday and the Hammers have been handed an away tie at London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.
Leicester City’s reward for knocking out Brighton and Hove Albion is an away fixture at eight-time winners Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s side advanced to the last eight following a 2-0 victory over Preston North End.
Arsenal are at home to the lowest ranked side left in the competition, Sunderland, who knocked out Queens Park Rangers in the previous round.
Chelsea beat Southampton on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. The Blues have been handed an away fixture in the next round against Brentford, whom they beat 1-0 in the Premier League a fortnight ago.
Manchester City defeated Tottenham 1-0 in last season’s final.
The games will be played in the week commencing December 20.
