Klopp Showers Praise On Lallana Ahead of Liverpool Reunion

Jurgen Klopp has showered praise on his former Liverpool player Adam Lallana ahead of Brighton and Hove Albion's visit to Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

Lallana will be making a return to the red side of Merseyside, where he starred for six seasons after joining from Southampton in the summer of 2014.

The 33-year-old is blessed with a lot of potential but hardly got the chance to show his best form at Liverpool due to fitness issues.

Lallana won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Liverpool.

‘Not only at the start, until the end,’ Klopp said of Lallana.

‘I miss Adam still to be honest. Adam set the standard from the first to the last day pretty much and it was really impressive.

‘What I loved about him, a football player with technical skills he has and that working mentality is really rare.

‘I think we all agree if Adam had been a little bit less injured he could have been on another level.

‘One of the best players I’ve ever worked with, an absolutely incredible person as well so I’m really looking forward to seeing him again.’

Liverpool head into the Brighton game as the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this season.

Lallana has featured in all nine of Brighton's Premier League games this season.
