Messi has failed to impress since moving to the Parc des Prince before the closure of this summer’s transfer window.
Although Messi has scored three times for the Parisians in his first three Champions League games, the Argentina superstar is yet to get one in Ligue 1 despite playing four matches.
The 34-year-old’s latest blank in the French League came in PSG’s 0-0 draw against rivals Marseille on Sunday.
Many believe that Mauricio Pochettino is not exploiting Messi’s talent to the maximum and Henry has added his voice to the ongoing talks by insisting that Messi is being isolated.
“He [Messi] is isolated, he is on the ball less. I wouldn’t say he’s sad, but he’s isolated. I prefer him through the middle,” Henry told RMC.
“I’m having trouble with Leo out on the right. In the middle, he can set the tempo. Something needs to be found in order to get Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi to play together.”
“Messi doesn’t speak a lot, he speaks with the ball,” the former Barcelona man continued.
He concluded: “For now, it’s Kylian’s team. Kylian is the one who’s making it shine most of all. The ball goes more towards him.
“At any single moment there can only be one conductor, otherwise, you can’t play at the same tempo. And in this team, there are too many conductors.’
