Klopp Coy On Ronaldo And Salah Comparisons

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp was reticent when he was asked about the comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

The former Borussia Dortmund head coach says both are world class players and there’s no need to compare them.

Ronaldo is arguably the best footballer of this generation, having been consistent for close to two decades.

He has won a lot of laurels in England, Spain and Italy and he is currently back at Manchester United to enhance his reputation.

Salah on the other hand has forced himself into the ‘world best’ conversation in recent seasons after putting up stupendous statistics at Anfield.

He has started this campaign on a high, having netted twelve goals in eleven appearances for Klopp’s’ side.

Both Ronaldo and Salah will go head-to-head against each other when Liverpool make a trip to enemy territory to face Manchester United on Sunday.

Klopp was asked in his press conference on Friday to compare the two big stars in Manchester United and Liverpool but the German could not stay on topic.

"Why should we compare?" said Klopp. "Obviously both are world-class players.

"Even though Ronaldo's left foot is not bad, I would say Mo's left foot is probably better. Cristiano may be better in the air and his right foot is probably better.

"Speed-wise, both are pretty quick and desperate to score goals but I've never really thought about that. I'm not too interested in comparing, sorry."
