Rivaldo Backs Salah To Win Ballon d'Or

Former Brazilian forward Rivaldo has rallied support behind Mohamed Salah to win this year's Ballon d'Or.

Salah is currently at his peak for both club and country, becoming recently the fastest Liverpool player to score 100 goals for the club.

The Egyptian has been nominated in the 30-man list for the award and Rivaldo tip the former AS Roma forward to win the ultimate.

"Liverpool’s Egyptian forward is producing a fantastic start of the season with impressive stats and a sensational goal against Manchester City last weekend.

"He's one of the best players in the world right now because his astonishing numbers in terms of goals and assists are obtained in the Premier League and Champions League, two of the most difficult competitions on the planet. When you are so good in demanding conditions, then, of course, you are a top player who deserves to be among the contenders for the Ballon d’Or this season.”

Completing his move from Roma to Liverpool in 2017, Salah registered 44 goals in all competitions, guiding the Reds to the Champions League Final in his debut season.

With just seven games gone in the current Premier League season, Salah has scored 6 goals with three assists, providing another worldie during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City.

Despite impressing at Merseyside, Mo's future at the club remains uncertain with reports linking him to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
