The Spanish tactician says he is pleased with his men’s performance at Anfield against Jurgen Klopp’s side. It was a thrilling evening in Merseyside as two of the best teams in England settled for a stalemate.
The game ended 0-0 at halftime despite the plethora of attacking talents on display, but the second period was a different case.
Sadio Mane broke the deadlock on 59 minutes after a beautiful build up from the hosts, but the Citizens replied ten minutes later through Phil Foden.
Mohamed Salah restored Liverpool’s lead on the 76th minute mark and Klopp’s men thought that was the winning goal but Kevin De Bruyne scored on 81 minutes to secure a point for the visitors.
"If you ask me about the points of course I am happy if you ask me about the performance I am more than happy,” Guardiola told Sky Sports after the game.
"The way we have played the last three games has been magnificent. We have played a lot of players and they have all played with personality and unfortunately we could not win.
"We overcame two results, 1-0 down and 2-1 down and incredible personality from the team.”
