Nuno says he saw a lot of positive performances from his men against the Slovenian giants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs had not won a game in regulation time since beating Watford 1-0 on August 29 in the Premier League, a run of five games in all competitions.
Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso had given Tottenham a two-goal lead in the opening eight minutes but the visitors reduced the deficit when Ziga Kous scored just seven minutes after the break.
There was a growing anxiety around the ground as Mura forced to pull parity, but substitute Harry Kane changed the pessimistic panorama to an optimistic outlook by scoring three goals to take the game beyond the Slovenians.
In an interview with the media after the game, Nuno, whose side came into the game after a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal in the North London Derby last Sunday, lauded his men for beating Mura.
"Pretty good [performance]. We started very well, our dynamic was good,” the Portuguese coach said.
"The beginning of the second half, they scored. After that we played good. A good game.
"It [the triple sub] was needed. The best way to prepare the players is to play. The minutes were important for the boys. "A lot of positives."
