Klopp said the game was like a wild ride as the Reds failed to pounce on their title rivals’ losses earlier on Saturday.
The hosts started the game brightly and took the lead on 27 minutes thanks to Ethan Pinnock, but Diogo Jota swiftly pulled parity four minutes later.
Mohammed Salah put Liverpool ahead just nine minutes after the interval, and the Bees fought back to get a deserved equalizer on 63 minutes.
Midfielder Curtis Jones restored Klopp’s men’s lead on 67th minute mark but the visitors could not hold on as Yoane Wissa scored on 82 minutes and both teams had to settle for a draw.
"It was a wild ride. They deserved their three goals for the way they played. We obviously couldn't deal with the long balls today but we should have scored more goals,” Klopp told Sky Sports after the game.
"They deserved it. I don't think you can control them much better, we created a lot of clear-cut chances but couldn't deal with them defensively. These things happen.
Liverpool sit atop the Premier League table with 14 points and will be entertaining Manchester City next weekend after their midweek encounter with FC Porto in the Champions League.
