Nuno says his counterpart has enormous quality to improve every team in Europe, pointing out to the wonderful work he did at Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
Tuchel took over a Chelsea side which was sitting ninth on the Premier League table but quickly turned them to a hard team to beat.
The German coach helped Chelsea to a top four finish and defied every odd to win the Champions League with the English side.
Chelsea have started the season on a high, having secured ten points in the first twelve and Tuchel will be taking his side to North London to face Spurs on Sunday and Nuno says he is unsurprised by the work of the German tactician.
“No there’s no surprise at all,” Nuno told reports. “Thomas already did an amazing job at Borussia Dortmund, fantastic at PSG.
“He and his coaching staff have enormous quality so I am not surprised by the success of Thomas, because you can see how good they play.
“Very good team. Thomas [Tuchel] is doing an amazing job. Lots of strengths, they have an amazing squad, talented players they play good football, they are organized they are intense.
“They are European champions so we must value that as we do to all of the opponents but Sunday we will compete, that’s a promise.”
