Solskjaer Backs Lingard To Bounce Back From Big Mistake

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has thrown support behind Jese Lingard to bounce stronger after making a huge mistake in Manchester United's loss to Young Boys.

Lingard, who replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the 72nd minute assisted in Young Boys' winning goal with a poor back pass.

Man United drew first blood at Bern after Ronaldo registered his name on the score sheet in the 13th minute.

But Nicolas Mouami canceled out Ronaldo's goal in the 66th minute before Jordan Siebatcheu sealed the win for the Switzerland side, benefiting from a mistake from Lingard.

However, building the confidence of his player, Solskjaer believes Lingard will learn from the mistake and bounce back for good.

"We are humans, every footballer makes mistske" said United boss Solskjaer.

"With Jesse, no footballer likes making mistakes but it's obviously part and parcel of the game."

"We will learn from it, he will learn from, he will pick himself up and be ready to go on Sunday against West Ham United."

Lingard after a successful loan stint with West Ham was rumored to be joining the Hammers on a permanent deal after the London club made an attempt to sign him.

But Manchester United refused to offload the pacey winger with hope's that he would be a key prospect for the side this season.

Lingard, having scored 9 goals with four assists in sixteen Premier League appearances for West Ham last season has bulged the net once in two league games for Manchester United thus far.

Man United after a perfect start to the season are currently topping the Premiere League table with ten points.
