Salah scored his 100th goal in the Premier League becoming only the 30th player to score a century of goals in the competition’s history.
The 29-year-old has reached that milestone with 175 games, making him the fifth-fastest to reach the tally.
Salah was first introduced to English football when he signed for Chelsea from FC Basel in January 2014 and went on to score only two goals in his 13 Premier League appearances for the West Londoners before he was sold to AS Roma in 2016 after a two loan spells to Fiorentina and Giallorossi.
The Egyptian returned to English football in the summer of 2017 when Liverpool struck a deal with Roma and has since been the Reds’ main man forming a deadly trident in attack with Sadio Mane, and Brazil forward Roberto Firmino.
“With Mo’s record, it’s crazy. I don’t know how many he can break and he’s probably desperate to do so,” Klopp told the media after the full-time whistle in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds United.
“Since he joined us, what a player! And he’s still hungry. “I saw him in the dressing room and we were all in the situation concerning Harvey but he was still not happy for not scoring one or two other goals. That’s how top-class players are and that’s fine.”
