Ibrahimovic Compares Himself To Ronaldo And Messi

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he's on the same level with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The AC Milan goal-getter insisted that the only thing that Ronaldo and Messi can boost of is the number of trophies they have over him.

Despite putting himself on the same height with Ronaldo and Messi, Zlatan also admitted that he ain't the best footballer in the world.

Ibrahimovic, known for controversial comments is yet to understand the criteria used to name a a figure as a Ballon d'Or winner.

“No, if anything it’s the Ballon d’Or that is missing me.

“If we are talking about intrinsic quality, then they have nothing more than me. If we consider trophies, then yes, I didn’t win the Champions League.

“I don’t know what criteria they use to decide who gets the award, because I am not obsessed with it. When a collective works, the individual inevitably benefits from that. An individual cannot do well if the team isn’t solid.

“Deep down, I do think that I am the best in the world.”

Ibrahimovic who will be 40 next month had an impressive spell last season at Milan, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists in 27 competitive appearances.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is among the favourites to win the award this season, after being named Uefa's Men's Player of the Year although it has been dominated in the last decade by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Ibrahimovic played a key role in returning AC Milan to the Champions League for the first time in many years when the Rossoneri finished second in Serie A last term.
