Ronaldo says he ‘will always love Turin’ until his final days as he labels Juventus as one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The Portuguese joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2018 after a successful nine-year stint in Spain where he won everything with Real Madrid.
He quickly became the most important player in Turin as he helped Juventus to their eighth and ninth consecutive Scudetto.
The former Sporting CP man won every domestic trophy in Italy but could not help bring the most coveted Champions League trophy to Juventus.
He scored 101 goals and provided 22 assists in 134 games in all competitions during his three-year stay in Italy.
Ronaldo took to his Instagram account on Friday night to say goodbye to Juventus and its fans.
"Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days,” he wrote.
"The “tifosi bianconeri” always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition. In the end, we can all look back and realise that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.
"I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, as I feel that I’m part of yours. Italy, Juve, Turin, tifosi bianconeri, you’ll always be in my heart."
