The former Borussia Dortmund player has been absent from training this week and will miss the Blues' Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon at the Emirates.
Confirming the news of the American player, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel revealed;
"Christian is unfortunately easy to explain, he had a positive test and needs to follow the protocols so he was not in training and not available for the game."
Providing an update on the status of his health, Pulisic on his Instagram handle wrote;
"Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week," wrote Pulisic on Instagram. "Thankfully I'm fully vaccinated and I have no symptoms so far. Can't wait to get back in action. Thank you for the support."
Pulisic had an impressive summer for the USMNT as he led them to a CONCACAF Nations League triumph after scoring the only goal of the game against Mexico in the final.
Pulisic was on target in Chelsea's Premier League opener against Crystal.
Meanwhile Arsenal have also seen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Willian and Alex Runnarson all affecte by Coronavirus.
The Gunners are yet to take a point for the season after losing 2-0 to newcomers Brentford.
Pulisic joined Chelsea from Dortmund for €58 million transfer fee. The deal also saw him stay at the Signal Iduna Park for the remainder of the 2018-19 season before moving to Stamford Bridge the following year.
He scored 4 goals with two assists in twenty-four Premier League appearances last season.
