James Rodriguez Unsure Of His Future At Goodison Park

Colombia and Everton forward James Rodriguez has cast doubt over his future at the Goodison Park.

The 30-year-old is contemplating over his future in Merseyside just a year after debuting in the English Premier League.

James surprisingly moved to Everton to reunite with his former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich trainer Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian tactician has returned to coach Los Blancos and the former Porto and Monaco man has admitted he only moved to play for the Toffees because of the-then presence of Ancelotti.

James was asked about his future in English football and the Colombian admitted he does not know due to the uncertainties in football and also cited an example with the summer move of Sergio Aguero and the shocking news of Lionel Messi’s exit from Barcelona.

“Kun Aguero went to Barcelona, and now Messi is leaving – they just happen to be little breadsticks, partners,” El Espanol report him saying.

“Those are the things that football has. The same thing happened to me. I go to Everton, practically because Ancelotti was there and look, now Carlo is gone.

“I don’t know what is going to happen. In football and in life, we don’t know anything. Let’s see what happens.

“All I know is that I’m training hard, preparing well. That’s it, that’s the most important thing.

“You have to think about the present, and the present is that I’m here, and I’m training hard and physically well for everything that’s coming.”

James had a good start to the 2020/2021 season but niggling injuries made him endure a stuttering campaign, but still managed to score six goals and provided nine assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for Everton.
