The England right-back assisted 12 goals last season surpassing the previous record of 11 held by Everton's Andy Hinchcliffe and Leighton Baines in the 1994/95 and 2010/11 campaigns respectively.
Alexander-Arnold also became the youngest player to record three assists in a Premier League game against Watford in February 2019.
The 21-year-old was influential in Liverpool’s Champions League and UEFA Super cup wins.
He was named in the Champions league squad of the season and the PFA team of the season after helping Liverpool to a near perfect finish in the Premier League.
“It is an honour. I’ve always wanted to go forward and help the team to create as many chances as possible,” Alexander-Arnold said after receiving the award.
"It is obviously down to the lads to put the ball into the back of the net, because football is a team game and without them this record wouldn’t be possible.”
"It’s an unbelievably proud moment for me and my family, and something I hope will stand for a few years.”
Alexander-Arnold lauded his Liverpool team-mate Andy Robertson who also had a good season by racking up 11 assists in the Premier League.
“He probably thought he had the competition wrapped up! Near the end of the season we both hit really good form, we were both getting lots of assists and it was good to help the team in those games that we needed to win.”
Among his numerous assists last season, the most famous one came in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona when the youngster’s quick-thinking corner picked up an unmarked Divock Origi to score a wonderful goal that sent Liverpool to the final.
