Haaland Breaks Silence On Sancho's Move To Man United

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has insisted he's currently not a happy chap following the departure of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.

Sancho's exit has brought to an end of a fearsome attacking duo for Dortmund as Haaland talks of how hurtful he is but believes his former teammate's void will be filled.

"Me and Jadon understood each other very well and he’s a top player,’ Haaland told Stadium Astro when quizzed on which Dortmund player can step up to become his new partner in crime.

"So of course it’s sad that he goes but that’s how it is and that’s football. You never know what will happen.

"But I think that there’s a lot of other good players that I have a good tone with and it can become even better.

"We have to see who I match the best with."

Missing out on the signing of Sancho last season, the Red Devils have finally secured the services of the pacey winger, having completed his medical on Tuesday.

Dortmund will be led by a new manager of Edin Terzic for the new season, a former trainer of Haaland at Red Bull Salzburg whom the 20-year-old knows how to work with.

"I talked a little bit with him and I know him from before because I had him for six months at Salzburg,’ the Norway striker added.

"He’s a nice guy and I look forward to working with him.

"I heard the training sessions are hard here so it’s exactly the same as it was at Salzburg. Hard training and a lot of running.

"That’s what I expect the tactics to be, to press a lot and run a lot and attack a lot."

Going into the season without his former teammate Sancho, Haaland hopes for a better future for the Signal Iduna outfit.

"First of all, we have to have a good pre-season and to get to know each other.

"We will see. We won the DFB-Pokal trophy last year and that was very important for us, the club and the fans.

"That was important and we will have to see."

The combination of Haaland and Sancho produced 35 goals and 17 assists for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season.

Sancho's arrival will make Manchester United a deadly side as he will pair with top attackers like Marcus Rashford, experienced Edinson Cavani and wonderkid Mason Greenwood.
