Nuno Doesn’t Doubt Kane’s Commitment To Spurs

New Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has insisted that striker Harry Kane is still committed to the English club.

Kane made his intention to leave North London known towards the end of the 2020/2021 season, and has put many big Europeans clubs on alert.

The 27-year-old is arguably the best marksman in the Premier League since he rose to prominence but has no silverware to show. Kane is said to be looking for a club which can match his ambition.

Manchester City saw their £100m bid for the England skipper rejected and have not yet backed down per reports in the media.

Nuno was speaking to the media for the first time as Spurs manager and he was asked about Kane’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Portuguese tactician said: "I have no doubts in my mind. What I wish is for Harry to recover well and have a good rest.

"When he arrives he will feel that he has to commit himself to become better. We are ambitious, we want to do well and we count on Harry to do that.

"Harry is our player, period. There is no need to talk about anything else. Now is the time for him to rest. When he returns we can have a good conversation. I am looking forward to him joining the group."

The former Leicester City and Norwich City man has three years remaining on his contract in North London.
