Sterling has emerged as one of England’s best players in the tournament, scoring three goals to help Gareth Southgate’s men into the last eight.
Zinchenko and Sterling line up for Manchester City in the Premier League so the former knows what to expect for the game in Rome and has sounded a word of caution to his colleagues.
"Raheem Sterling is one of the best wingers in the world. Right now he is in amazing form," said the full-back, who scored and assisted in Ukraine’s last gasp 2-1 win over Sweden in the round of 16.
"He is great, he makes the difference. We obviously need to pay attention to him and we will need to try to somehow stop him because he’s on a roll now.
"Who is the strongest opponent that I have ever played? I have said several times that it's the footballers from Manchester City, those that I see every day at training."
The winner of the Ukraine-England tie will face either Denmark or Czech Republic in the semi-finals for a place in the final at Wembley on July 11.
