Gazzaniga came on as an early substitute following Hugo Lloris' injury in Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton Hove Albion last weekend.
'We know we have to be strong, at home, especially, we have to be strong,’ Gazzaniga told Sky Sports.
'Now it's about having the right mentality and being focused, starting against Watford.
With Hugo Lloris set to be out for the rest of 2019 with a dislocated elbow, Gazzaniga, who has played just sixteen games for Tottenham in all competitions, is set for an extended run in the side.
The former Southampton keeper says he is ready and focused to be in post in Tottenham’s upcoming matches.
'He continued: 'It's always the same answer, I'm ready.
'I try to be focused. I believe in myself and my team-mates, and that's the only way.
'I wasn't comfortable seeing Hugo coming out of the game in that way. Everyone knows what he means for the team and for the club, our captain.'
After the international break, Tottenham welcome struggling Watford in the league hoping to turn their season around.
