Bale, who spent the 2020/2021 season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, is left with a year on his Real Madrid contract and a reunion with Ancelotti could be on the cards.
Ancelotti and Bale had a good time together during their time at the Santiago Bernabeu where both helped Los Blancos to win the famous La Decima and Copa del Rey in 2014.
The former Southampton man was a very important player under the tutelage of the globetrotting Italian coach.
Bale was discarded by Zinedine Zidane during the latter part of his days in Madrid which forced him to return to Tottenham Hotspur in search for greener pastures.
He scored eleven goals in 20 Premier League games for the North Londoners, and has been tipped to relaunch his Real Madrid career under the incoming Ancelotti, but Bale has revealed his situation in the Spanish capital has not changed yet.
“I know Carlo Ancelotti is a great manager. I get on with him really well, we had some great times in the past,” he said while on international duty with Wales. “He’s returned to Real Madrid and he’s a great guy.
“We had a great time together at Real Madrid and I’m sure he’s going to be amazing in charge there.
“I spoke to him when we played Everton at the start of the season, we hugged and had a little chat which was nice.
“But I’m still in the same boat and haven’t thought about it too much. I’m concentrated on our preparation now and what’s going to happen in the Euros. I’ll sort the rest of it after.”
